Sunshine Aquarium is hosting "Sun! Sun! Coral Festa!", a special event themed around coral! From March 1st to March 29th, 2026, a variety of engaging content will be available to learn about coral conservation.
An Event to Understand Coral's Present and Connect to the Future
This event coincides with "Coral Day" on March 5th and commemorates the 20th anniversary of Sunshine Aquarium's coral conservation initiative, the "Coral Project." It will showcase valuable materials and regional collaborations from past activities, conveying the importance of coral and its connection to the ocean and the Earth.

- Exploration Guided Tour: Coral Special Edition: Aquarium staff will explain the behind-the-scenes of coral cultivation! (March 13-29, daily at 11:00 AM, ¥1,000)
- Coral Workshop: Learn about coral in a fun way with an original "Sugoroku" (Japanese board game)! (March 1 & 8, daily at 2:00 PM, ¥1,200)
- Sunna-chan Greeting: Meet the official character from Onna Village, Okinawa! Make a promise to protect the sea. (March 15 & 22, daily at 10:30 AM / 1:30 PM, Free)
Permanent Exhibits During the Period
Enjoy "Dr. Coral's Coral Quiz," the "Coral Conservation Declaration Flag" revived with visitors' wishes, and exhibits looking back at the 20-year history of the Coral Project. Donations and sales of limited-edition products also contribute to coral conservation efforts.
