Animate Ikebukuro Main Store 3rd Anniversary Sakura Festival!
Animate Ikebukuro Main Store celebrates its 3rd anniversary with a Sakura Festival from March 1 to April 5, 2026. Featuring limited-time shops, character greetings, and "oshikatsu" events, it's a must-visit for anime fans.
The Animate Ikebukuro Main Store is celebrating its 3rd Grand Opening Anniversary on March 16, 2026! To commemorate this milestone, the "Animate Ikebukuro Main Store 3rd Anniversary Sakura Festival" will be held from Sunday, March 1, 2026, to Sunday, April 5, 2026.
The festival features a packed schedule of events centered around popular titles. Highlights include a signing event with Kizuna Natsuki, the author of the BL comic "Given" (application period closed), on Saturday, March 14th, and a special collaboration with "Sekaiichi Hatsukoi ~ Animate no Baai ~" running from March 16th to April 12th. Additionally, "mochocho Land," a pop-up shop featuring the popular "mochocho" character merchandise series, will open on the 6th floor from Tuesday, March 17th, to Sunday, April 5th.
Character greetings will also take place! Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi from "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" will visit on Saturday, March 14th. The "Tanuki and Kitsune & Taru Shiba" characters will appear on Saturday, March 21st, followed by "My Hero Academia" heroes on Friday, April 3rd, all at the North Building 1st floor.
To further enhance the "oshikatsu" (supporting your favorite character) experience, there will be an "Oshikatsu Photo Campaign" (March 1st - April 5th) where participants can win prizes by posting photos taken at designated photo spots. "Oshi Sakura 2026" invites fans to create a "cherry blossom tree" of their favorite characters (March 14th - April 5th), and a "Sakura Festival Lottery" with fantastic prizes will be held (March 14th - 16th).
