Fun for Kids and Adults! Ethical SDGs Workshop at Oasis 21!
"Oasis 21 Sunday Atelier" hosts an "Ethical SDGs Workshop - Let's Play Together! Move Your Hands, Connect Your Hearts" every second Sunday of the month.
This workshop focuses on "Fair Trade × Upcycling × Local Traditional Industries," offering a valuable opportunity for parents and children to learn about ethical consumption and SDGs while engaging in hands-on activities.
Unique Workshop Programs
On April 12th (Sunday), a variety of workshops were held, including:
- meimei felt work: Creating cute brooches and mascots using wool.
- Seeds to Roots and Leaves: Making flower garlands with "waste" flowers and organic blooms.
- Mitsubachi Baya: Crafting honey bath bombs using raw honey collected locally.
- AiLAND / Aichi University: Making bookmarks using elephant dung paper, linked to support activities for children in Thailand.
- DIY & FAB GIFT: Woodworking crafts using local Aichi timber and construction scraps, such as pen stands, mazes, and monsters.
These workshops embody the concept of upcycling, giving new value to materials that have served their purpose or are unused.
