This May, Tsurumai Park will host a variety of free-admission exhibitions. From stunning roses and alpine plants to exotic aroids and delicate pressed flowers, there's something for every art and nature enthusiast.
Aroids and Seedling Sale
From April 29th (Wed, Holiday) to May 6th (Wed, Holiday), explore the fascinating world of aroid plants, including rare ornamental varieties. A seedling sale will be held on the final day, with a special sale event featuring unique plants on May 5th and 6th.
Early Summer Variegated Plants and Alpine Flora Exhibition
From May 8th (Fri) to May 10th (Sun), enjoy an exhibition of alpine plants showcasing their beautiful variegated leaves. Seedlings will also be available for purchase.
Chubu Cut Rose Contest & Spring Rose Exhibition
From May 13th (Wed) to May 14th (Thu), the "24th Chubu Cut Rose Contest" will feature exquisite roses cultivated by individuals, along with an arrangement sale. Following this, from May 16th (Sat) to May 17th (Sun), the "Spring Rose Exhibition" will allow visitors to admire more roses and enjoy their rich fragrance.
Pressed Flower & Recan Flower Exhibition
From May 21st (Thu) to May 28th (Thu), discover artistic creations made with pressed flowers and "Recan Flowers" – fresh flowers dried and preserved for long-lasting display. Workshops and sales of these artworks are also planned.
Iris Exhibition
From May 30th (Sat) to June 7th (Sun), an exhibition dedicated to Irises, featuring photos and fresh blooms, will be held. Get a close-up look at the beauty of these flowers, which also grow in Tsurumai Park.
