Explore "Mingei" x Fermentation: Talk Event at Shibuya Hikarie
Shibuya Hikarie hosts a talk event by Hakko Department and D&DEPARTMENT, exploring the connection between "Mingei" and fermentation, featuring Toyama's local fermentation and "Fermented Mingei Beer."
A special talk event, "Learning about Mingei x Fermentation," will be held at Shibuya Hikarie.
This event, jointly organized by Hakko Department and D&DEPARTMENT, delves into the "power of the other" philosophy rooted in Toyama and the charm of local fermentation.
Hiraku Ogura, a fermentation designer, will unravel the world of "Mingei x Fermentation" encountered in Toyama. Joining him as a guest will be Shunsuke Mochizuki from NAT.BREW, a brewery in Inami, Toyama, who co-created the "Fermented Mingei Beer." Attendees can enjoy the "Fermented Mingei Beer" while discussing the profound connection between fermentation and Mingei.
This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of food culture and traditional crafts from the perspective that "fermentation is edible Mingei." Enjoy a toast with beer and discover the depths of local fermentation culture.
