WFP Walk the World 2026 Yokohama: A Stroll for a Cause
The "WFP Walk the World 2026 Yokohama" is set to take place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, starting from Pacifico Yokohama. This meaningful event supports the World Food Programme (WFP) by inviting participants to walk a 7km course through Yokohama's scenic Minatomirai district.
Walk amidst iconic Yokohama sights like the Red Brick Warehouse while contributing to global efforts to combat hunger. This year's event will feature Daisuke Miura, Ambassador for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, as a guest.
The day's schedule includes an opening ceremony at 9:30 AM, with the regular start at 10:00 AM. An early start option is available from 9:00 AM for those who wish to begin sooner. Please note that early starters will not be able to attend the opening ceremony.
Participation fees include a donation: 2,200 yen for general participants and 1,000 yen for elementary school students. Pre-school children can join for free without donation or insurance. The event has a capacity of 4,300 participants. Applications are open until Wednesday, April 22, 2026, via Sports Entry, but will close once the capacity is reached.
