Confections Reflecting Seasonal Changes
During this fair, several special wagashi inspired by the rainy season will be available. From June 1st to 15th, "Toraya Kinton-sei 'Ajisai' (with Gozen-an)" will be offered. This confection beautifully represents the hydrangeas blooming after the rain, with white and purple crumbled dough forming the flowers and transparent kanten jelly mimicking glistening raindrops. Sales begin at 11:00 AM.
From June 10th to 16th, in commemoration of "Wagashi Day" on June 16th, "Toraya Kasho Manju (3 pieces)" will be sold. This set of three auspiciously designed manju offers a unique taste for this specific period. Sales start at 10:00 AM.
Furthermore, from June 16th to 30th, "Toraya Kuzu-sei 'Shimatouka' (with white bean paste)" will be available. Made with kuzugashi dough incorporating brown sugar from Iriomote Island, Okinawa, this confection is filled with white bean paste. The combination of kuzugashi and brown sugar, known for its refreshing qualities, offers a delightful experience. Sales commence at 11:00 AM.
Each of these wagashi is crafted to evoke the beauty of the seasons and Japanese tradition. All prices are tax-inclusive.
