Canal City Hakata in Fukuoka City's Hakata Ward will host "Canal Splash 2026" to celebrate the release of the movie "Minions & Monsters." This event transforms the Sun Plaza Stage into a water play zone for children, featuring a seasonal interactive fountain attraction.

A Splashy Fountain Show with Water and Music

This year, the "Canal Splash 2026" will feature dynamic fountain displays synchronized with music from the movie "Minions & Monsters," which opens at United Cinemas Canal City 13 on August 7th (Fri). During "Splash Time" (on the hour and half-hour), water jets will spray overhead to the rhythm of energetic music, exciting both adults and children. Additionally, "Bubble Time" (at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour) will fill the venue with bubbles, creating a magical atmosphere.

Interactive Activities to Experience the Movie World

Throughout the event period, several engaging activities related to the movie's world will be available. The "Keyword Rally" challenges visitors to find hidden characters at three locations within the complex. Successfully collecting all keywords will earn participants an original sticker on a first-come, first-served basis, so early participation is recommended as supplies are limited.

Photo spots featuring "Minions & Monsters" characters will also appear throughout the venue. Visitors can take memorable photos with photo panels and balloon decorations located on the 2nd floor of Center Walk and the 1st floor of South Building. Furthermore, a character greeting event with James and Henry is scheduled for August 30th (Sun) at the B1F Sun Plaza Stage; however, entry may require a numbered ticket.
