Zot-ten Exhibition: Real Ghost Stories and Evidence at Fukuoka PARCO (Aug 1 - Sep 6, 2026)
Fukuoka PARCO presents "Zot-ten," an exhibition of real ghost stories and cursed objects, running from August 1 to September 6, 2026.
Fukuoka PARCO, located in Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, will host "Zot-ten: Real Ghost Stories and Their Evidence" from August 1 to September 6, 2026. This exhibition is part of the PARCO closing campaign and is a significantly updated version of the popular exhibition held last year at Hiroshima PARCO.
Real Ghost Stories and "Evidence"
This exhibition showcases real ghost stories collected from across Japan, along with associated "evidence" such as spirit photographs, videos, audio recordings, and cursed objects. A significant highlight is the collection of cursed objects owned by collector Toshiyuki Tanaka, with each item introduced alongside its background story. The event also features original research into actual ghost stories from various regions of Kyushu, focusing on the local fears and memories embedded in the area, offering a unique experience only available at this venue.
"Sayuri", the Cursed Love Doll, Arrives in Kyushu for the First Time
"Sayuri," a cursed love doll that gained attention after being presented to Mr. Tanaka on the podcast "Mayurika no Unagerorin!!" by the comedy duo Mayurika, will make its Kyushu debut as part of Tanaka's collection. The display of "Sayuri" is scheduled to begin on August 18th (Tuesday). This event promises a chilling experience perfect for the hot summer months.
