World Penguin & Otter Day 2026 at Sunshine Aquarium: Special Events!

Sunshine Aquarium is hosting "World Penguin & Otter Day 2026" from April 10th to June 7th, 2026! This event features special exhibits and activities focusing on penguins, otters, and sea lions.

Experience the Wonders of Penguins

From April 10th to May 7th, during the "World Penguin Day" segment, you can experience the lightness of penguin feathers with the "Penguin Feather Fluffy Box" and explore the unique "Penguin Smell Sniffing Device." This is a great opportunity to learn about the ecology and current situation of Cape Penguins.

Dive Deeper into Otters and Sea Lions

The "World Otter Day & Sea Lion Day" segment, running from May 8th to June 7th, introduces an upgraded "Otter Scent Comparison Box" allowing you to compare the scents of the otters at the aquarium. For sea lions, exhibits will highlight their coexistence with humans and the challenges they face, such as food scarcity due to environmental issues.

Special Performances & Guided Tours

Throughout the event, daily feeding times for penguins and otters will be held. Additionally, paid special programs include "Explorer Guided Tours" with explanations from staff and "Living Creatures Campus" held before opening hours. A "Penguin & Otter Talk" event, where part of the participation fee is donated to conservation activities, will also be held. Check the official website for more details!
