Echoes of Thought Exhibition - Laboratory of Sound and Emotion at Ikebukuro PARCO
The 'Echoes of Thought Exhibition' runs from June 26 to July 20 at Ikebukuro PARCO, offering an experimental experience on how sound affects emotions.
The "Echoes of Thought Exhibition - Laboratory of Sound and Emotion" will be held at Ikebukuro PARCO's Main Building 7F PARCO FACTORY, starting from June 26, 2026. This exhibition offers visitors an experimental experience to understand how auditory information, or sound, manipulates our emotions and perceptions in contemporary society.
While modern life is saturated with visual stimuli, this exhibition highlights the subtle yet profound influence of sound on human emotions. Just as a change in sound can transform an ordinary scene into one of horror, sound has the power to easily alter our cognitive processes. The exhibition is designed as an "experiment" to allow attendees to directly feel how sound can rewrite our emotional states.
Visitors are advised to enter at their own risk, as the organizers will not be held responsible for the outcomes of the experimental experience. Following its run in Ikebukuro, the exhibition is scheduled to tour to Nagoya PARCO (October 3 - November 15, 2026) and Shinsaibashi PARCO (December 5, 2026 - January 17, 2027), though dates are subject to change.
