Learn to Draw at Sunshine City: "Zannen na Ikimono-ten 3" Illustration Class

Sunshine City will host the "Zannen na Ikimono-ten 3" Illustration Class on Saturday, October 17, 2026. This special workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn drawing techniques directly from Fumié Shimo, the illustrator behind the popular "Zannen na Ikimono" series. Participants will gain insights into observing creatures to capture their characteristics and learning tips to bring them to life on paper, guided by a professional artist.

The event takes place at the Sunshine Aquarium, located within Sunshine City, a short walk from Ikebukuro Station. The workshop venue will be the special exhibition area of the Sunshine Aquarium or the "Sunshine City Co-creation Space" on the 9th floor of the World Import Mart Building.

The illustration class is divided into two sessions: the morning session runs from 10:00 to 11:30, and the afternoon session from 13:30 to 15:00, with each session lasting approximately 90 minutes. The workshop is primarily aimed at children aged 4 to junior high school students, but individuals high school age and older are also welcome to participate. Children below elementary school age must be accompanied by a guardian.

The participation fee is a flat rate of 1,000 yen (tax included), which covers both the workshop and admission to the "Zannen na Ikimono-ten 3" special exhibition. Tickets are available for purchase on the reservation website "Asoview!". Each session has a capacity of 30 participants.

While drawing paper and colored pencils will be provided, participants are welcome to bring their own preferred art supplies. This is an excellent chance to enhance your illustration skills with expert guidance, and the ticket also grants access to the "Zannen na Ikimono-ten 3" exhibition.
