Sunshine City Handmade Workshops: Aug 12-15, 2026

Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, will host a series of handmade workshops from Wednesday, August 12th to Saturday, August 15th, 2026. This event offers participants the chance to create unique, one-of-a-kind items through enjoyable crafting experiences suitable for all ages. The workshops will be held at Sunshine City's Fountain Plaza.

Diverse Workshops to Spark Creativity

Participants can choose from a variety of workshops. The food sample experience allows you to create realistic parfait or tart charm keyholders. The parfait costs 2,530 yen (tax included) and the tart charm is 1,870 yen (tax included), payable by cash only. Each takes approximately 30-40 minutes to make.

The character candle workshop involves filling a glass with colorful sand and decorating it with various glass ornaments. Summer-themed items, sea creatures, dinosaurs, insects, and popular "Sumikko Gurashi" figures are available. Prices start from 1,430 yen (tax included), with cash payment required. The creation process takes about 20 minutes, but the final pickup may take an additional 40-60 minutes due to drying/setting time. Please note that this workshop's last reception is at 17:00.

With the Leather Saurus Workshop(R), you can craft a genuine leather dinosaur or other creature keychain. Prices start from 2,500 yen (tax included) and it takes about 30 minutes to complete. Participants are advised to wear clothes that can get dirty, as dyes may stain hands, and gloves are recommended. This workshop is only available on August 12th (Wed) and 15th (Sat).

Other workshops, including "Lucky Buddha Nut Arrangement" (large/small), "Bell Cup Flower Arrangement," and "Millefleur Garden Making," will also be available during the same period. Please refer to on-site information for specific details on fees and payment methods for each workshop.
