Kubota Maru "Kimi to Nara Koi wo Shite Mitemo 8" Signing Event at Animate Ikebukuro

A signing event for author Maru Kubota, celebrating the release of "Kimi to Nara Koi wo Shite Mitemo 8" from Hanamaru Comics Premium, will be held at Animate Ikebukuro Main Store. This event offers fans who purchase the designated book a special opportunity to receive a signature directly from the author.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2026, at animate hall WHITE, located on the 9th floor of the South Building at Animate Ikebukuro Main Store. It will be divided into two sessions. The first session will open at 12:30 PM and start at 1:00 PM, while the second session will open at 2:30 PM and begin at 3:00 PM. To manage attendee flow and avoid congestion, staggered entry times may be implemented.

To participate, attendees must pre-order one of the eligible items, "Kimi to Nara Koi wo Shite Mitemo 8" (priced at 792 yen including tax) or the "Kimi to Nara Koi wo Shite Mitemo 8 Animate Set" (priced at 1,122 yen including tax), both to be released on August 5, 2026, at any Animate store nationwide. A full payment (in cash only; Animate points cannot be used) is required at the time of pre-order to receive an application serial number.

Using this serial number, applicants must register for the lottery via the "Event Application/Survey" page within "CLUB animate" during the application period, which runs from Friday, May 29, 2026, to Monday, June 29, 2026. Registration for CLUB animate is free and required for application. Lottery results are expected to be announced around mid-July 2026 and will be viewable in the "Application/Survey History" section of CLUB animate.

Participation is limited to the confirmed winner, and the transfer or resale of the right to attend is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, overnight queuing or early lining up around the venue is forbidden to prevent disturbances to neighbors. Any disruptive behavior towards guests or staff, or failure to follow staff instructions, may result in disqualification from the event. Unauthorized photography, audio recording, or video recording within the venue is also prohibited.
