The "Manga Studio Editorial Department" event will be held at Kyoto Computer学院 Kyoto Station Campus. This event offers aspiring manga artists a valuable opportunity to receive direct feedback and critique on their work from professional editors.

Get Direct Advice from Professional Editors

Approximately 50 editorial departments from publishers, primarily based in the Tokyo metropolitan area, are expected to participate. Attendees can bring their original manga manuscripts to receive evaluations and advice. This is an excellent chance for individuals residing in western Japan who find it difficult to submit their work directly to Tokyo-based publishers. Even manga artists who have already debuted in commercial publications are welcome to participate.

The event spans two days, with different editorial departments participating on each day. Participants can expect to gain valuable feedback from an objective perspective, which can be instrumental in their future creative endeavors. Accepted materials for submission include completed manuscripts (original, copies, or printed versions), name drafts, dōjinshi, commercially published works, and school assignments.
