Illumination Lighting Ceremony 2026 at Asunal Kanayama

Asunal Kanayama, located in Naka-ku, Nagoya, will host the "Illumination Lighting Ceremony 2026." This event marks the commencement of the winter illumination, themed "A Fantastical Garden of Sound and Light," set against the backdrop of Kanayama, a district known for its music culture.

Event Overview
During the illumination period, Asunal Kanayama transforms into "Harmony Garden Lights AsuDore♪ Plays Together: Asunal Kanayama Winter Illumination," a space of light inspired by music. The venue will feature "plant instruments" shaped like pianos, drums, violins, and trumpets, with sound and light effects designed to evoke each instrument, guiding visitors into a magical world. A large LED screen in the center of the venue will host an interactive content where visitors can create harmonies of sound and light by touching the plant instruments. The character "AsuDore♪-chan" from Chukyo TV's morning program "AsuDore♪" will also add to the charm of the illuminated landscape.

Lighting Ceremony Event
To celebrate the start of the winter illumination, a lighting ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2026. This ceremony will take place during the radio recording event "Asunal Kanayama presents ASUNAL TREASURE," promising a special start to the season. Riku Hirano, Yui Hayashi, and WITHDOM will serve as the MCs, with guests also scheduled to appear.

Winter Illumination Period
The illumination itself will run from Thursday, November 12, 2026, to Sunday, February 28, 2027. The lights will be on from 17:00 to 23:00 daily, allowing visitors to enjoy the enchanting light display throughout the winter evenings.

Digital Stamp Rally
A digital stamp rally will also be held, encouraging exploration of the venue. Notably, from November 12, 2026, to December 25, 2026, a Christmas version featuring "AsuDore♪-chan" in a Santa Claus costume will be available, enhancing the holiday spirit.
