"Oasis 21 Sunday Atelier" Ethical SDGs Workshop Held!

The "Oasis 21 Sunday Atelier" is taking place at Nagoya's landmark, Oasis 21. This special ethical workshop allows both children and adults to learn about SDGs while having fun together! The theme revolves around "Fair Trade," "Upcycling," and "Local Traditional Industries," offering heartwarming creative experiences.

Hands-on Activities for a Kinder Future

Held on the second Sunday of every month, this workshop features a variety of programs. You can try "upcycling," which gives new life to discarded materials, or create accessories using "Arimatsu Shibori," a traditional Nagoya dyeing technique. Projects include keychains made from waste acrylic materials, smartphone straps from kimono obi ties, and "Nerikiri" brooches using Arimatsu Shibori fabric.

There are also engaging activities developed by Nanzan University students using marine plastic, and woodworking projects using Aichi Prefecture timber. It's a perfect opportunity for families to deepen their understanding of SDGs in an enjoyable way.
