December Exhibitions at Tsurumai Park, Nagoya City Greening Center

The "December Exhibitions" will be held at Tsurumai Park, located at 1 Tsurumai, Showa-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, from December 1st (Tue) to December 28th (Mon), 2026. The venue is the 1st floor of the Nagoya City Greening Center within the park, and admission is free for all exhibitions.

Several exhibitions will be held sequentially during the event period.

From November 21st (Sat) to December 6th (Sun), the "Japanese Traditional Classical Chrysanthemum Exhibition" will take place, presented by Aichi Toyoake Flower Culture Garden. Various classical chrysanthemums will be displayed with flowers and panels, offering a glimpse into traditional Japanese beauty.

Following this, from December 8th (Tue) to December 13th (Sun), the "Nagoya University Hospital Inpatient Class Children and Students' Art Exhibition" will showcase works created by students from the inpatient class at Nagoya University Hospital. These works will be displayed, with contributions from Aichi Prefectural Obu Special Needs School.

From December 17th (Thu) to December 24th (Thu), Manabu Matsuyama will present "Gourd Lamps, Bamboo Lanterns, and Acorn Crafts Exhibition" as a special display. Intricately designed gourds and bamboo will be illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere.

Additionally, on December 19th (Sat) and December 20th (Sun), the "Sha-ho-ro Exhibition" will feature photographs by the Nagoya photography circle "Sha-ho-ro," capturing the park's scenery.

Concluding the year, from December 22nd (Tue) to January 11th (Mon, holiday), 2027, the "Origami Architecture and Illustration Exhibition" will be held. Architect Kiyosumi Kakehi and architectural historian Ryota Murase will exhibit works themed around historic buildings in Aichi, including detailed origami architecture and illustrations.

This exhibition series offers a chance to engage with diverse art and culture in the open setting of Tsurumai Park. As admission is free, it's an accessible opportunity for all to enjoy.
