April's Life Lab at Nagoya City Science Museum: Explore the Microscopic World & Optical Illusions

Discover the wonders of the microscopic world and experience optical illusions at "April's Life Lab," a special event held at the "Life Lab" on the 5th floor of the Nagoya City Science Museum throughout April 2026.

This event offers two main attractions: "Let's Look! The Microscopic World," where you can observe specimens using electronic and optical microscopes, and "Huh? Optical Illusions," which allows you to experience fascinating phenomena that trick your eyes.

The microscopic observation sessions, held on Sundays around 1 PM and 2 PM (20 minutes each, about three times a month), will feature themes like "The Secret of the Morpho Butterfly's Blue" (April 5), "The Mystery of Abalone" (April 12), and "Nature's Strange Shapes What is a Fractal?" (April 26).

The "Optical Illusions" demonstrations run on weekdays at 2 PM and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays at 11 AM and 3 PM, with each session lasting 20 minutes. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 4 groups (primarily 2 people per group).
