This event aims to showcase the charm of irises, Showa Ward's symbolic flower, and will take place around the park's iris pond. Various activities are planned to allow visitors to appreciate the beauty of the flowers and experience the local charm. During the event period, several hands-on activities centered around irises will be offered. A notable activity is the "Origami Iris Making" workshop, scheduled for Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31, from 11:00 to 15:00. This workshop, supported by the Interact Club of Chukyo University High School, allows participants to enjoy creating iris flowers from origami while admiring the real flowers.

Showa Ward's mascot character, "Sho-chan," will also make an appearance at the iris pond. Sho-chan will be present on Saturday, May 30, Sunday, May 31, Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7, between 11:00 and 15:00 each day. This appearance, in cooperation with the Showa Ward Office's Community Development Promotion Division, offers a chance to interact with the character and feel closer to the local community.

Additionally, a "Flower Picker Photo Session" will be held, allowing visitors to take commemorative photos while wearing "Hana-tsumikko" costumes. This is offered on a first-come, first-served basis from May 30 to 31 and June 6 to 7, between 11:00 and 15:00. For those interested in learning more about irises, an "Iris Blooming Guide Tour" will be conducted by the staff in charge of the iris pond at Tsurumai Park. This tour takes place on the same dates as the photo session, from 11:00 to 12:00, and participants can join midway. This is a great opportunity to deepen your knowledge about irises with expert commentary.
