42nd Nagoya Barrier-Free Festa on Nov 1, 2026 at Hisaya Odori Park

The "42nd Nagoya Barrier-Free Festa For People With and Without Disabilities Blown by the Wind Exchange Plaza in Sakae" will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Hisaya Odori Park in the heart of Nagoya. This event, boasting over 40 years of history, has expanded its venue to include "Sakae Hiroba" in addition to "Hisaya Odori Park TV Tower Plaza," creating a more inclusive space for exchange.

On the event day, a diverse program will unfold on the special stage at TV Tower Plaza. Highlights include a "Bandaikai" (large board commentary) by Shogi player Master Masataka Sugimoto, a comedy performance by Bonjiri Taro, and various other entertainment acts such as dance performances and balloon art, catering to all age groups.

The venue will also feature food and craft beer sales by welfare facilities, a market offering bread and miscellaneous goods, and food trucks, allowing attendees to enjoy culinary delights and shopping. A key attraction this year is the debut of "Irofulu Asobi," an interactive play with colors (paid) offered at both TV Tower Plaza and Sakae Hiroba.

A stamp rally will be held across both venues, encouraging participants to visit welfare experience corners for a chance to win prizes. The Sakae Hiroba venue will also host a special booth commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Guide Dog Serve Statue installation, alongside a Boccia experience area.
