Matsuzakaya Nagoya department store is hosting the "Deraumyaa~ Matsuzakaya Gourmet Battle - Taste of Nagoya, Taste of Japan in the City of Fierce Competition" from Wednesday, September 16 to Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Held in the B1 and B2 basement floors of the main building and other locations, this event brings together a wide array of culinary delights, from Nagoya specialties to national and Asian gourmet foods.

The event features "Gourmet Battles" where each store showcases its signature dishes, allowing visitors to enjoy comparative tasting to find their favorites. Highlights include the signature "Hitsumabushi" (approx. ¥4,950) from the renowned restaurant Ataa Houraiken, and "Kurobuta Teppan Tonkatsu Gozen" (approx. ¥2,940) from Yabaton. For those seeking local flavors, "Tamago Nikomi Udon" (approx. ¥1,430) from Yamamoto Honke, and "Morisoba" (approx. ¥990) from Ishiusu Hiki Soba Miyagawa are available, showcasing Nagoya's miso culture and traditional soba.

Seafood options include the "Manju" course (approx. ¥8,800) from Sushiman and the "Aoyama Course" (approx. ¥6,930) from Ginza Tenichi, offering authentic sushi and tempura. For lighter fare, "Ogura Toast Anman" (approx. ¥430) from PAOPAO and "Ebi Katsu Sandwiches" (approx. ¥594 each) from BANKAKU KITCHIN are among the choices.
