SPORTEC2026: International Sports & Health Industry Expo at Tokyo Big Sight

SPORTEC2026, Japan's largest international exhibition for the sports and health industry, will be held at Tokyo Big Sight in Koto-ku, Tokyo, from July 8th (Wed) to July 10th (Fri), 2026. This event aims to increase the sports population, enhance athletic performance, and realize a healthy society by making sports more accessible and promoting them.

The exhibition will feature a wide array of sports equipment, apparel, and services from around the world. Approximately 550 companies are expected to exhibit, attracting around 45,000 visitors. It serves as a crucial platform for business expansion, new market entry, and information gathering within the sports and health sectors, offering valuable networking opportunities with top executives and government officials that are difficult to achieve online.

Previous editions have seen significant success, with the 2025 event attracting 42,380 visitors. Exhibitors reported direct benefits in new business development and sales expansion. For instance, a Pilates machine exhibitor generated over 20 million yen in final sales after engaging with over 100 participants through trial lessons and exchanging business cards with approximately 500 individuals. Another exhibitor of fitness machines secured 30 business negotiations, with an estimated value of 30-40 million yen and 3 confirmed orders, highlighting the event's effectiveness in generating tangible business outcomes.

SPORTEC2026 is designed to foster connections between private companies, government officials promoting sports and health initiatives, and various sports associations. Beyond the exhibition, a range of seminars and events are planned, providing insights into the latest trends and technologies in the industry.

Admission is free for pre-registered visitors. Those who have not pre-registered can enter by paying an on-site fee of 2,000 yen (tax included). Information packages for potential exhibitors are also available upon request.
