BLUE GIANT x PARCO2 10th JAZZ&ART EXPERIENCE at Sendai PARCO2

The "BLUE GIANT x PARCO2 10th JAZZ&ART EXPERIENCE" will be held at Sendai PARCO2, located in Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, from September 4 (Wed) to September 23 (Wed, holiday), 2026. This event celebrates the 10th anniversary of Shinichi Ishizuka's popular manga "BLUE GIANT," offering a special experience that immerses visitors in the world of the series throughout the Sendai PARCO2 facility.

Art Exhibition and Limited Shop Immersing Visitors in the "BLUE GIANT" World

During the event period, the "BLUE GIANT ART EXHIBITION" will take place on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of Sendai PARCO2. The venue will feature displays of dynamic original artwork from "BLUE GIANT," along with immersive installations and photo spots designed to draw visitors into the story's universe. Furthermore, the entire facility, including the exterior walls and elevator interiors of Sendai PARCO2, will be "taken over" by the "BLUE GIANT" world, creating an experiential exhibition. Admission to this exhibition is free, and it will be open daily from 10:00 to 20:00.

A "BLUE GIANT LIMITED SHOP" will also be open at the Sendai Station 2F Haremachi Court from September 10 (Thu) to September 23 (Wed, holiday). This shop will offer exclusive merchandise, including items only available at the ART EXHIBITION and valuable reproduced original drawings. The shop's hours are 10:00-19:00 from Sunday to Thursday, and 10:00-20:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. On September 12 (Sat) and 13 (Sun), some items will also be available for sale at the "Jozenji Street Jazz Festival 2026" venue.

Film Screening with Special Talk Show and JAZZ LIVE

A key highlight of the event is the revival screening of the movie "BLUE GIANT" with a special talk show, scheduled for September 12 (Sat) at TOHO Cinemas Sendai on the 6th floor of Sendai PARCO2. Following the screening, a talk session will feature Shinichi Ishizuka, the manga's author, and Kazunori Kumagai, a world-renowned tap dancer whose work has a strong connection to the musical expression in "BLUE GIANT." This session offers a rare opportunity to hear insights into the work's themes, the creative process, and the appeal of its musicality. The film screening is expected to last 120 minutes, with the event commencing between 18:00 and 21:00. Ticket details will be announced later on the TOHO Cinemas website.

In conjunction with the "Jozenji Street Jazz Festival 2026," a FREE JAZZ LIVE event will be held after closing hours, curated by Sendai-native and internationally acclaimed tap dancer Kazunori Kumagai, featuring a lineup of豪華 artists. This collaboration aims to further energize Sendai's music scene.
