Kyoto's Traditional Footwear 'OJOJO' Arrives in Shibuya!
As part of the d design travel EXHIBITION 2026 special project, the d47 MUSEUM at Shibuya Hikarie is hosting an exhibition of 'OJOJO NAITO,' a new footwear line by Naitoh, Gion, Kyoto.
The 'Beauty of Utility' for Today
'OJOJO NAITO' re-examines the origins of Japanese footwear culture, preserving the sensibility of 'beauty of utility' rooted in Japan, while being re-engineered to fit contemporary lifestyles. The design maintains the traditional functionality and structure of Japanese footwear – walking by utilizing the space between the big toe and the second toe – but is adapted for modern life on asphalt.
Experience the Future of Footwear
This is a new form of footwear proposed by Naitoh, Gion. Please take this opportunity to experience the fusion of good old tradition and modern lifestyle embodied in 'OJOJO NAITO.'
