The "42nd Botanical Art Competition Exhibition" will be held at the National Museum of Nature and Science, located in Ueno Park, Taito-ku, Tokyo. This exhibition showcases award-winning works from the Botanical Art Competition, an initiative aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of nature.

Competition Overview and Award-Winning Works

In the 41st Botanical Art Competition, 783 entries were received from across Japan. Among them, 66 works were selected for various awards, including the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award, the National Museum of Nature and Science Director General Award, and the Tsukuba Botanical Garden Director Award. This exhibition will display these outstanding selected works by division. Titles such as "Hotei Atsumorisou" (Ayano Shiozaki, Saitama Prefecture), which won the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award in the elementary school division, and "Murasaki Cabbage" (Haruma Takashio, Tochigi Prefecture), which received the same award in the junior high and high school division, have been announced.

Visitor Information

This exhibition is part of the permanent exhibition at the National Museum of Nature and Science's Ueno Main Building. The admission fee for the permanent exhibition is 630 yen for general admission. High school students and younger, as well as individuals aged 65 and over, are admitted free of charge. The museum is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with last admission at 4:30 PM. The museum is closed on Mondays, except for July 7th (Monday) and July 14th (Monday), which are also holidays.
