Yokohama Flower & Garden Festival 2026 Overview

The Yokohama Flower & Garden Festival 2026, one of Japan's largest horticultural events, will be held at PACIFICO Yokohama during Golden Week. As Yokohama buzzes in anticipation of GREEN×EXPO 2027, the "Yoko-Fura" festival of flowers and greenery returns this year.

Featured Exhibitions

This year's "Yoko-Fura" features an extensive display of "roses," the flower of Yokohama City.

• Main Garden "Dream Garden": Marie Amano and Yoko Abe collaborate on "Dream Garden," presenting four garden scenes. There will also be an exhibit inspired by the atelier of rose breeder Makiko Kawamoto.
• La cabane au fond du jardin.: Floral designer Laurent Bournichoux expresses the world of "La cabane" (a small hut) in harmony with the changing seasons. Live performances are also scheduled.
• Yokohama Rose Collection: Showcasing trendy garden roses, the latest varieties, and influencer-recommended roses.
• Japan Rose Cut Flower Competition: The finest cut roses from across the country will be gathered to determine Japan's top cultivation techniques.
• Japan Selection: Latest potted and cut flowers, including new varieties not yet in circulation. A popularity vote will be held at the venue.
• Gardening Contest: Beautiful works showcasing design skills and planting techniques will be displayed.
• Flowers and Greenery: Enjoyment of Japanese Style - Peonies: Magnificent peonies from Daikonjima, Shimane Prefecture, a leading peony-producing region, are a must-see.
• Citizen Power Greening the City: Highlighting the efforts of citizens, including park conservation groups, in beautifying Yokohama. A model garden by Haruko Nagae, designed for easy watering, will also be featured.

Stage Events & Workshops

The stages will feature a diverse lineup of popular guests daily, offering talks and demonstrations. Additionally, there are plenty of enjoyable content for all ages, including the "Wood Education Caravan," "Let's Become a Gardener," and "Fun Seed Ball" workshops.

GREEN×EXPO 2027 PR Booth

The PR booth for the upcoming GREEN×EXPO 2027 will include an event map, sales of official merchandise and advance tickets, greetings from the mascot character "TunkTunk," and an ikebana photo spot. A stamp rally will also be held.
