13th Yokohama Port Great View Sky Walking Competition Announced
The 13th Yokohama Port Great View Sky Walking Competition is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. The event will be held at a special venue in Shinko Chuo Plaza, located between the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and Yokohama World Porters.
This walking event offers participants a scenic route around Yokohama Port, including iconic landmarks such as Osanbashi Pier, the area around Pacifico Yokohama North, and the "Megami Bridge." Participants can enjoy the sea breeze and stunning views of the Minato Mirai area while engaging in a healthy walk. Two course options are available: a 10km course and a 15km course, each with a different time limit.
Eligibility is open to individuals (high school students and above) and families (children up to junior high school age accompanied by a guardian). Participation fees vary, with a fee of 2,530 yen for individual participants and discounts available for groups of two or more. Special rates apply for family participation.
Registration on the day of the event will be from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM, with the walk commencing at 10:00 AM. The event is expected to conclude around 3:00 PM. All participants who complete the course within the time limit will receive a certificate of completion. Children (junior high school age and below) who finish will also be awarded a gold medal.
