Character Candle Workshop at Yokohama World Porters in June

Create your own unique character candle at the "Character Candle Workshop" held at Yokohama World Porters. This event offers a fun and safe crafting experience for participants of all ages.

Design Your Own Special Candle

In this workshop, you can craft a one-of-a-kind candle by layering colorful sand in a glass and arranging your favorite glass figurines. The venue provides a variety of glass figurines featuring popular characters from "Saikyo Oh Zukan," "Sumikko Gurashi," and "Sanrio Characters." Participants can freely combine these elements to create their personalized designs. The use of transparent gel instead of wax ensures a safe experience, even for young children, as staff handle the hot gel.

Event Schedule

The workshop is available every weekend throughout June. The specific character schedules are as follows:

• June 6th (Sat) & 7th (Sun): Sanrio Characters, Sumikko Gurashi
• June 13th (Sat) & 14th (Sun): Anime "Saikyo Oh Zukan", Super Ball Scooping, Sumikko Gurashi
• June 20th (Sat) & 21st (Sun): Sanrio Characters, Sumikko Gurashi
• June 27th (Sat) & 28th (Sun): Anime "Saikyo Oh Zukan", Super Ball Scooping, Sumikko Gurashi

Reception hours are from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM (last reception). While the creation process takes about 20 minutes, it takes an additional 40-60 minutes to receive your finished candle. Please note that these times may vary depending on crowd levels.

Pricing and Age Recommendations

The basic fee for the workshop starts at 2,530 yen (tax included). The recommended age is 3 years and up. For the "Saikyo Oh Zukan" Super Ball Scooping activity, participation is recommended for ages 6 and up. This activity takes approximately 15 minutes and costs 1,100 yen (tax included).

Participation and Important Notes

Advance reservations are not accepted; participation is on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the event. The workshop will be held in the 3rd-floor pop-up space. The availability of glass figurines and super balls is limited and they may run out, so early participation is advised.
