11th Yokohama Yosakoi Festival 2026: A Spectacle of Dance in Minatomirai!

The "11th Yokohama Yosakoi Festival" is set to ignite Minatomirai on October 17th and 18th, 2026. This vibrant festival transforms the streets of Yokohama into a stage for yosakoi teams representing various regions to showcase their energetic dances.

Now in its 11th year, this citizen-led festival, embodying the spirit of "Good Times Are Coming" (Yoi Yo Sa Koi), aims to connect people and communities through the power of dance. This year promises to be the largest yet, with an ambitious goal of gathering over 3,000 performers from approximately 120 teams over two days.

The festival will take place across seven venues, including the Yokohama World Porters Rooftop World Event Plaza and Hammerhead Park, offering stunning views of the bay area. Don't miss the "Tenku Shoi Yo" (Sky Evening Yosakoi) performances, where dancers bring the stage to life under the twilight sky, transitioning from sunset to the sparkling night cityscape.
