Learn the Principle of Pulleys as a Rescuer at Nagoya Science Museum

The Nagoya City Science Museum will host an event titled "Become a Rescue Team Member and Learn the Principle of Pulleys" as part of the IFCAA 2026 NAGOYA outreach program. This event is scheduled to take place from Saturday, May 16, 2026, to Saturday, May 23, 2026, between 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM.

Event Overview
This event aims to foster interest in firefighting and disaster prevention in anticipation of the 34th International Fire Chiefs' Association of Asia (IFCAA 2026 NAGOYA) General Assembly, the 78th National Fire Chiefs' Association General Assembly, and the International Fire and Disaster Prevention Exhibition. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the principle of pulleys in a fun and engaging way by dressing in children's firefighter uniforms and experiencing actual rescue equipment.

Experience Details
In this program, children can transform into rescue team members and try out the rescue equipment used by firefighters. Through these hands-on experiences, they will intuitively grasp the "principle of pulleys," which is essential for lifting heavy objects and safely moving them. This interactive approach is designed to stimulate children's curiosity beyond the museum's regular exhibits and experiments.
