The "Nagoya Castle Forest Making 'Koji no Mori' Guide Tour in Nakatsugawa" will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2026.

This tour aims to preserve the rich natural environment of the upper Kiso River, which nurtures the Kiso cypress trees extensively used in Nagoya Castle, and to promote exchange between upstream and downstream areas. It offers participants a chance to engage in tree-growing activities at "Nagoya Citizen's Forest" and enjoy a guided walk through "Koji no Mori."

Tour Details

The tour includes hands-on activities contributing to Nagoya Castle's forest conservation. Participants will engage in tree planting and care at "Nagoya Citizen's Forest," followed by lunch featuring local ingredients, and a visit to Goroku Shrine. In the afternoon, a guided tour of the "Koji no Mori" will provide insights into its history and ecosystem. The tour concludes with an opportunity for shopping at the roadside station "Kaido Tsukechi," offering a comprehensive experience of Nakatsugawa's charms.
