Matsuzakaya Nagoya: August 2026 Kimono & Yukata Events

Matsuzakaya Nagoya, located in Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya City, will host several kimono-related events throughout August 2026. These events offer a variety of attractions, from yukata sales and Shichi-Go-San attire to a creators' market.

Children's Yukata Festival & Shichi-Go-San Special Offer Event

For children, the 6th floor of the Main Building will feature two concurrent events. The "Children's Yukata Festival" runs from July 29th (Wed) to August 18th (Tue), offering clearance and fixed-price sales on children's yukata, obi, geta, and jinbei. Purchases of ¥11,000 or more (tax included) during this period will receive a "lucky draw" for nostalgic toys.

Following this, the "Shichi-Go-San Attire & Omiyamairi First Attire Special Price Invitation Event 2026" will be held from August 5th (Wed) to September 1st (Tue). This event showcases a wide selection of celebratory attire, including new arrivals. A special incentive for purchases of ¥330,000 or more (tax included) is a ticket for Shichi-Go-San photo shoots at an affiliated studio.

Both events are open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with the final day closing at 5:00 PM.

Grand Kimono Fair and Fashionable Yukata Collections

The kimono floor will host the "Grand Kimono Fair" from August 12th (Wed) to August 25th (Tue), featuring furisode, houmongi, iromuji, komon, and tsumugi kimonos at special prices. The operating hours are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (closing at 5:00 PM on the last day).

In parallel, the "MATSUZAKAYA YUKATA COLLECTION," focusing on yukatas as fashion statements, will take place. This collection will be held at the Organ Plaza on the 1st floor of the South Building from June 17th (Wed) to August 3rd (Mon), and at the event space on the 6th floor of the Main Building from August 4th (Tue) to August 11th (Tue). The events propose elevated yukata styles through coordinated obi, accessories, and lace tabi, featuring popular items like the moisture-wicking and quick-drying Toray-Ceoα yukatas.

Creators' Market

Additionally, from July 29th (Wed) to August 3rd (Mon), the 6th-floor event space in the Main Building will host the "Creators' Market," showcasing and selling works from five artists, including glass accessories, bead embroidery, leather goods, clay flower accessories, hats, and fabric flowers. Hours are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (closing at 5:00 PM on the last day).
