May's Life Lab at Nagoya City Science Museum: Explore Life's Mysteries
"May's Life Lab" event at Nagoya City Science Museum, May 1-31, 2026. Hands-on science exploration including microscope observations.
Nagoya City Science Museum will host "May's Life Lab" from May 1st to May 31st, 2026. This hands-on event invites visitors to explore the wonders of life on the 5th floor of the Life Science Building. It offers a valuable opportunity for participants to engage with science and foster their curiosity.
Delving into Life's Mysteries at "Life Lab"
Each week in "May's Life Lab" will feature a different theme to unravel the mysteries of life. Starting May 1st, the theme will be "What Protects Us from UV Rays?", exploring the mechanisms behind UV protection in our daily lives, an engaging topic for all ages.
Sundays: A Journey into the Microscopic World
Approximately three times a month on Sundays afternoons, a "Let's Look into the Microscopic World" session will be held, offering observation experiences using electron and optical microscopes. In May, special observation themes are scheduled for the following three Sundays:
- May 3rd (Sun): "Dragon's Teeth"
- May 17th (Sun): "Find the Skull in the Bamboo!"
- May 31st (Sun): "Whalebone (Baleen)"
These sessions provide a rare chance to closely observe microscopic structures and astonishing natural phenomena not typically visible to the naked eye.
