1st Chubu Food Industry Creation Expo '26 at Port Messe Nagoya
The 1st Chubu Food Industry Creation Expo '26, focusing on food industry challenges, will be held at Port Messe Nagoya from November 4, 2026.
The "1st Chubu Food Industry Creation Expo '26" will be held at Port Messe Nagoya, located in Kinjofuto, Minato-ku, Nagoya, starting November 4, 2026. Under the theme "The Future of Food Woven by Technology," this exhibition focuses on solving the challenges facing the food industry. It provides a "decision-making platform" for managers, administrators, and engineers to learn about the latest technological trends and find concrete solutions to pressing issues such as labor shortages, automation, and changes in cost structures.
The expo will showcase cutting-edge technologies directly applicable to on-site problem-solving, including food manufacturing, robotics, AI, and factory equipment. Leveraging the unique industrial concentration of the Chubu region, where manufacturing technology and the food processing industry coexist, this event offers an excellent opportunity for companies aiming to expand into national markets to approach a broad customer base. It serves as a stepping stone for efficient market development in the growing sector of applying manufacturing technology to the food industry.
Furthermore, key decision-makers, such as presidents and department managers from the food manufacturing, food processing, and food service/prepared food industries, are expected to attend. This provides a valuable opportunity for direct dialogue with stakeholders who are typically difficult to meet through regular business channels. Over the three-day period, attendees can efficiently connect with dozens of potential clients. Efforts will be made to facilitate purposeful visits through pre-event information dissemination.
This expo is a new initiative in the Chubu region, building upon the success of the "Western Japan Food Industry Creation Expo" held by Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun for many years. It is promoted as an industry-wide effort with the support of government agencies, local authorities, and industry associations, drawing significant attention.
The exhibition targets a wide range of fields, including smart food factories, food processing and process technologies, logistics and transportation, inspection and traceability, hygiene and environmental management, sustainable manufacturing, food materials and ingredients, and retail/food service. Technologies and products such as AI/IoT utilization systems, robotics/automation, the latest processing equipment, logistics systems, quality inspection devices, hygiene management solutions, energy-saving/environmental technologies, new food ingredients, and store operation support tools are expected to be displayed.
Admission registration begins on September 14, 2026. While the exhibitor application deadline is June 30, 2026, inquiries about available booth space and further details can be made to the secretariat thereafter. The setup period has been extended to three days, from November 1 (Sunday) to November 3 (Tuesday), allowing for construction and move-in. Collaboration with the Aichi Robot Industry Cluster Promotion Council has also been confirmed, further increasing anticipation for the exhibition.
