Explore Autonomous Driving AI: Event at Miraikan, Odaiba
An event to experience autonomous driving AI will be held at Miraikan in Odaiba on September 26, 2026. It features AI robot workshops and simulator experiences.
The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Odaiba will host "Realizing Autonomous Driving Together: How Humans and AI Cooperate in Creation and Operation" on Saturday, September 26, 2026. This event offers participants a chance to understand the AI behind autonomous driving through hands-on workshops with AI-equipped robots and autonomous driving simulations, fostering a discussion on human-AI collaboration.
Event Programs
AI Robot Workshop "Let's Teach AI How to Drive!" (90 minutes)
Using AI robots jointly developed by Tamiya Inc. and Macnica, Inc., participants will experience how robots learn by manually guiding them along a course. Through trial and error, they will engage with the mechanisms by which AI perceives its surroundings and makes decisions.
Experience Autonomous Driving Development with a Simulator! (90 minutes)
Participants will engage in a simulation using "Autoware," software employed in actual autonomous driving development. Using their own PCs, they will drive autonomous vehicles in a simulated environment, exploring the technologies involved in the car's perception, path planning, and control.
AI Radio-Controlled Car Demonstration "How Well Can AI Drive an RC Car?" (60 minutes)
A demonstration of AI-powered radio-controlled cars developed by Tamiya Inc. will showcase how AI navigates a course. Attendees can observe the car's performance up close.
