教員のための博物館の日2026 in 日本科学未来館

The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Tokyo's Koto Ward will host "Museum Day for Teachers 2026" from August 3rd (Mon) to August 7th (Fri), 2026. This event aims to foster familiarity with museums among school teachers and to highlight the learning resources available within them. While traditionally a one-day event, Miraikan has expanded its duration to five days this year.

Event Content and Programs

A variety of programs designed to help teachers better utilize museums are available. These include video streams introducing Miraikan's activities and educational resources, with opportunities to ask questions to staff at the venue. Participants who apply for a specific date can also freely explore the permanent exhibition, with optional worksheets available for students. Information on nearby facilities will also be distributed, assisting in the planning of off-campus learning experiences.

Several "programs requiring advance application" will be offered. These have limited capacity and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is advised. Detailed program information will be announced sequentially on the event page.
