1-Day Science Communicator Experience for Grades 4-6 at Miraikan
Experience being a science communicator for a day at Miraikan in Odaiba, Japan, July 25-27, 2026. For students in grades 4-6.
The National Museum of Nature and Science (Miraikan) in Odaiba will host the "1-Day Science Communicator Experience" for students in grades 4 through 6. This event offers a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of a science communicator, tasked with making science engaging and discussing the future with museum visitors.
Become a Science Communicator for a Day
Science communicators at Miraikan do more than just explain exhibits; they engage visitors in conversations, encouraging them to think about the future of science. Participants in this event will wear a special uniform and interact with visitors, asking questions like "What do you think?" and "Why did you think that?" This interactive experience allows children to discover new perspectives and ideas, realizing the joy of thinking, communicating, and discussing. It's a chance to experience firsthand how different people interpret the same exhibits and to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for science.
Ideal for Curious Minds
This program is perfect for children interested in science and the future, those who enjoy communicating with others, and kids looking for a special summer vacation activity. Whether you are a frequent visitor to Miraikan or experiencing it for the first time, you are welcome to join. Experienced science communicators will provide full support throughout the event. The specific exhibit for the presentation will be revealed on the day of the event.
