Shibuya Hikarie is set to host "TRAVELLING NORTH," a solo exhibition by graphic designer Hiroshi Nagai. This exhibition celebrates the release of his new woodblock prints and offers a fresh perspective on his iconic work.

A Journey Through New Woodblock Prints and Lifework

The exhibition will feature the debut of Nagai's latest woodblock prints, focusing on a new artistic direction. These new works depict the changing seasons of Japan's northern regions, brought to life through the traditional Japanese woodblock printing technique, vibrant colors, and the delicate craftsmanship of artisans. This marks a departure from his previous works often reminiscent of the West Coast, offering a unique visual experience.

In addition to the new prints, original artworks inspired by Nagai's lifelong themes of swimming pools and architecture will also be displayed and available for purchase. On Sunday, May 10th, a special talk event will be held featuring Hiroshi Nagai and Koichi Ando, the publisher and producer.
