Tokyo Skytree First Sunrise Special Opening 2027

The "First Sunrise Special Opening" event will be held at Tokyo Skytree in the Oshiage/Skytree area, Sumida-ku, Tokyo, on January 1, 2027 (Friday, public holiday). This is a prime location to welcome the start of the New Year in a unique setting. This special operation is a rare opportunity, limited to 800 participants. The pre-dawn hours of New Year's Day offer a surreal scene as Tokyo's lights dim and the eastern sky begins to blush. The first sunrise of 2027 promises to be an unforgettable memory. Attendees can freely move between the Tembo Deck (350m) and the Tembo Corridor (450m) during the special hours.

Ticket Sales and Pricing

Admission tickets will be sold via lottery, with a limited availability of 580 tickets. The lottery application period is from November 5, 2026 (Thursday) at 12:00 PM to November 26, 2026 (Thursday) at 11:59 PM. The price is ¥11,000 (tax included), with the same price for all age groups. Winners will be announced around December 1, 2026 (Tuesday) via email. The ticket includes admission to the special opening hours for the Tembo Deck and Tembo Corridor, plus a ¥1,000 voucher for the SKYTREE SHOP, which opens at 7:00 AM. Children aged 5 and under can enter free of charge for up to two per group.

Accommodation Plans Available

Accommodation plans bundled with special opening admission tickets (exchange vouchers) will be available from Tobu Hotel Levant Tokyo and Asakusa Tobu Hotel. Rates start from ¥75,000 (including tax and service charge) for a twin room with breakfast at Tobu Hotel Levant Tokyo, and from ¥80,000 (including tax and service charge) at Asakusa Tobu Hotel. These packages also include a ¥1,000 SKYTREE SHOP voucher. Sales for accommodation plans begin on a first-come, first-served basis from November 5, 2026 (Thursday) at 12:00 PM.
