Ecoff Campaign at Matsuzakaya Ueno Store: Recycle Clothes, Get Coupons

This campaign allows participants to bring in unwanted clothing, shoes, and bags to the store. These items will be utilized for recycling and reuse. In return for each item brought in, participants will receive an "Ecoff Coupon" worth 500 yen. The coupon can be used at the store where it was issued, with one coupon applicable for every 5,500 yen (tax included) spent. The validity period for these coupons is until December 31, 2026 (Thursday).

Collection Details and Limits

Accepted items include clothing, shoes, and bags for women, men, and children. During the campaign period, a maximum of nine items per person per store can be accepted. However, items such as socks, belts, wallets, small leather goods, gloves, scarves, stoles, ties, pajamas, hats, underwear, aprons, swimwear, gowns, kimonos, yukatas, carry cases, suitcases, rain boots, zori, geta, beach sandals (including Crocs), uniforms, and randoseru are not eligible for collection. Please note that large quantities of items or shoes/bags that are not in a reusable condition may not be accepted.

Coupon Usage Guidelines

"Ecoff Coupons" are only redeemable at the store where they were issued and will be distributed to the participant's own device. One coupon can be used for every 5,500 yen (tax included) purchase per receipt, allowing for planned shopping. While the coupons are valid until December 31, 2026, the expiration date may vary by store, so it is advisable to check before use.

Environmental Commitment

The collected clothing will be used for reuse and recycling. A portion will also be utilized as material for the "roop" project, an apparel circulation upcycling initiative by "AnotherADdress," a fashion subscription service operated by Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores. This project aims to connect the past of clothing with the future, transforming beloved garments into new products through the hands of young designers and fashion students.
