Exhibition on Kumamoto's Design and Travel at Shibuya Hikarie

An exhibition exploring the individuality of Kumamoto Prefecture through the lenses of "design" and "travel" is being held at Shibuya Hikarie. This event, centered around the latest issue of "d design travel KUMAMOTO," offers a three-dimensional experience of the prefecture's charm, based on the editorial department's in-depth local research.

The exhibition aims to inspire visitors to travel to Kumamoto by showcasing "the Kumamoto-ness" that deeply moved the editorial team during their immersive journeys. The "Kumamoto Products MARKET" within the venue will feature approximately 200 items, including ceramics from four regional kilns, unique products made from igusa (rush grass), and local snacks and alcoholic beverages, all personally recommended by the editorial staff.

Furthermore, the accompanying d47 Shokudo (dining hall) will offer a special "Kumamoto Set Meal," developed by chefs who researched the region's culinary culture. This set meal highlights the rich flavors of Kumamoto, nurtured by its volcanic soil and coastal bounty, featuring dishes like takana rice, dango jiru, and local pickles.
