HAPPY PANDAFUL DAYS: Panda-Themed Event at Matsuzakaya Ueno Store

Matsuzakaya Ueno Store is hosting "HAPPY PANDAFUL DAYS" to commemorate the 53rd anniversary of pandas arriving in Japan. Throughout the event period, the store will be decorated with panda motifs, featuring various activities and exclusive merchandise. This special panda-themed experience will transform the Ueno/Okachimachi area into a paradise for panda lovers.

A highlight of the event is the "Torittoko Shaolei" campaign, a scavenger hunt within the store. A total of 53 hidden "Shaolei" (panda characters) are scattered from the basement to the rooftop, challenging visitors to find them all. This campaign, tied to the 53rd anniversary, offers a fun treasure-hunting experience for all ages. Additionally, a "Sakura Panda" photo spot will be available for a limited time, providing a perfect opportunity for memorable photos.

During the event, a wide array of panda-themed limited-edition goods and food items will be available. Gifts and featured items include the "Panda Arrival 53rd Anniversary Clear Card," "Xiang Xiang, Xiao Xiao, Rei Rei Clear File," and "Xiang Xiang Vinyl Pouch." Other special panda merchandise, such as the "FEILER x Matsuzakaya Ueno Store" panda pouch charm and a "UENO Panda Family 2026 Calendar Handkerchief 2-piece set," will also be on sale (some items may have sold out). "Panda Foods" will be available for a limited time, and in-store dining (EAT IN) options will also be offered.

Several pop-up stores will also be featured. Starting October 22nd (Wednesday), the "Adventure World POP-UP STORE" will open at the 1st floor North Entrance Arcade, and "Yushima Kagetsu," offering collaboration products with the karinto (Japanese sweet cracker) shop founded in 1947, will be available at the 1st floor Edo Shinmachi Event Space. Furthermore, starting October 8th (Wednesday), the "Crystal Art" pop-up store, known for its panda-themed products, will open on the 2nd floor Ladies' Accessories Event Space, showcasing numerous limited-edition items like tenugui towels and bandanas, as well as new designs.
