5th Int'l Fermentation & Food Expo 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight

The 5th International Fermentation & Food Expo will be held at Tokyo Big Sight's South Halls 3 & 4 from August 4th to 6th, 2026. This exhibition is Japan's only specialized trade show for professionals involved in the manufacturing, research, and development of fermented and brewed foods. Against the backdrop of growing interest in Japanese food culture, particularly in fermentation and brewing, which has been recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, the event will bring together the latest technologies, services, and ingredients from Japan and abroad.

Latest in the Fermentation and Brewing Industry

Approximately 250 companies1 are expected to exhibit, showcasing the newest equipment for producing more delicious and high-quality fermented and brewed foods, as well as distilled spirits. With an anticipated 45,000 visitors2, including manufacturers in brewing, fermented foods, beverages, and health foods, it serves as a crucial venue for business negotiations and industry exchange, creating direct business opportunities. Furthermore, over 50 seminars*2 will be held, covering research findings, market information, and global trends, making it a platform for information dissemination across the industry.

Exhibition Zones and Highlights

In addition to existing zones such as Brewing Equipment, HACCP & Hygiene Measures, and Filling, Packaging & Packing Machinery, a new Distilled Equipment Zone will be introduced. The exhibition will cover a wide range of products and services, from rice polishing machines and koji making machines to cleaning and sterilization equipment, filling machines, distillation apparatus, and ingredients like sake, beer, soy sauce, and miso. The new Distilled Equipment Zone is expected to draw significant attention for the latest machinery related to distilled spirit production.

Admission is for business visitors and costs ¥2,000. Advance registration is mandatory, so please complete your registration via the official website. The venue is Tokyo Big Sight (3-11-1 Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo), easily accessible from Yurikamome Tokyo Big Sight Station and Rinkai Line Kokusai-Tenjijo Station. The exhibition will be held indoors.
