Matsuzakaya Ueno: Chidoriya Tirolian & Specialty Foods Fair (May 27 - Jun 2)

Matsuzakaya Ueno, located at 3-29-5 Ueno, Taito-ku, Tokyo, will host a special event from Wednesday, May 27 to Tuesday, June 2, 2026, featuring a variety of gourmet food items. The event will take place across multiple floors, including the "Oedo Shinmachi" event space on the 1st floor, the Japanese and Western Confectionery event space also on the 1st floor, the "Hoppetown" event area in the basement B1, and the B1 Subway Connection Entrance event space.

A highlight of the event is the "Tirolian" from Chidoriya, a famous confection from Fukuoka, available at the "Oedo Shinmachi" space. These light, crisp roll cookies filled with smooth cream are priced at 486 yen per 100g. In the Japanese and Western Confectionery space, Agripark Tsugaru Juku will offer "10 Types of Apple Pies" ranging from 616 to 804 yen, allowing visitors to enjoy the distinct flavors of different apple varieties. Additionally, the historic Kyoto wagashi shop Goken-Gotsura will present "Minazuki" (3 pieces for 648 yen), a traditional Japanese sweet eaten for good health during the summer season.

On the B1 floor's Hoppetown event area, "Beef Tendon Stew" from Koudai, slow-cooked for 5 hours using high-quality Hokkaido beef tendon, will be available for 1,080 yen per 100g. Kaiho will offer their popular "Squid Salt Cured" (864 yen per 100g), made exclusively from the thick body parts of squid. San-Kai will feature "Tochio Fried Bean Curd (Negi Miso)" (648 yen each), a popular Niigata specialty that is delicious when lightly grilled.

At the B1 Subway Connection Entrance event space, Tommys Pizza will present "Shirasu Genovese" (1,728 yen per pizza, approx. 20cm diameter), a pizza topped with whitebait and a homemade basil sauce.

The event continues with different vendors and products in subsequent weeks. From June 3rd to 9th, look forward to "Brandy Cake Standard" from Royal and "Conger Eel Sushi" from Sakaeya.
