宇宙ごはん vol.1 宇宙で“おいしく生きる”には?

On August 18, 2026, the National Museum of Nature and Science (Miraikan) in Odaiba will host "Cosmic Cuisine Vol.1: How to 'Live Deliciously' in Space?". This event delves into the concept of cooking and eating in space, considering that our daily "cooking" is deeply tied to Earth's environment.

Exploring 'Cooking' and 'Eating' in Space

Join Professor Hidemitsu Furukawa, an expert in materials engineering and 3D food printers from Yamagata University, and Italian chef Masayuki Okuda as they explore the challenges and possibilities of cooking in space. The event will introduce "STAR-MEALS," a vision for future space dining, and feature a tasting of food prepared with a 3D food printer. Participants will engage in creative thinking about what it means to eat and cook in an extraterrestrial environment.
