Herb No Monomawari Exhibition at Hikarie Shibuya's d47 MUSEUM

The "Herb No Monomawari: The Potential of Plants Proposed by HERBSTAND Yamanashi" exhibition is being held at Shibuya Hikarie. This exhibition introduces new possibilities and ways to enjoy plants from HERBSTAND, a group based in Fujiyoshida. The region, blessed with abundant springs from Mt. Fuji, has a long history of utilizing plant wisdom, which HERBSTAND actively explores.

HERBSTAND defines herbs as "plants with beneficial effects and properties for humans," extending their activities beyond mere production to research. Through analyzing components and exploring characteristics, they convey the charm of herbs through multifaceted approaches including production, processing, blend supervision, and garden supervision. This exhibition showcases a wide range of products curated by HERBSTAND.

Summer-Friendly Herb Teas and Broths

At the venue, visitors can find a diverse selection of products, including blended herbs perfect for cold brews enjoyed in summer, broths blended with Japanese cedar, kuromoji (Japanese black wood), and bamboo bark (junpi), as well as kuromoji tea highballs, representing new experimental initiatives. These items are crafted with ingenuity to maximize the flavors and benefits of the plants.

Workshop Information

During the exhibition period, a workshop will be held featuring Yuta Hirano, the representative of HERBSTAND. Aimed at professionals in the culinary and beverage industries, the workshop will cover regional flavor variations, processing methods for different plant parts, and the characteristics and handling of various herbs. This session offers an opportunity to deepen the understanding of herb utilization and discover more creative ways to enjoy them.
